Achievements
Since 2010 senior students have been consistently accepted for the NZ School of Dance Associate programmes and the RNZ Ballet mentor programme or for full time training as Ballet majors at the NZ School of Dance, at the Junior School of the Royal Ballet, at Victorian College of the Arts, the Ministry Melbourne, Brent Street Performing Arts Sydney, Wellington Performing Arts.
Awards 2019
Laeticia Austin, age 16, has been accepted for full-time training on scholarship at the London School of Russian Ballet in England. Laeticia has been a student at Ballet Arts from the age of four, gained Distinction in all her ballet exams and was a Finalist in the SI Ballet Award 2018.
South Island Ballet Awards 2018
Five students competed in the South Island Ballet Awards 2018. Three went to the semi- finals, two into the final ten, Laeticia Austin being runner-up and Georgia Noriss the overall winner of the $5000.00 first prize.
Student Accepted by MEBA
We are very pleased to report that Taylor Briggs has been accepted for full-time tertiary training with the Mt Eden Ballet Academy, Auckland (MEBA).
Royal NZ Ballet Nutcracker Tour
Isabella Fraser was one of ten students chosen to dance on stage with the Royal NZ Ballet during their national tour of the Nutcracker.
